The second of my bird drawings is this little gosling. Drawing fluff is more a matter of not drawing anything. Instead one must shade behind the sunlit down. The smudger or tortillon is essential for a soft drawing like this. It’s soft paper, rolled up tightly and used to smudge the pencil lines into a soft haze.
