Painting Back the Deer

Have you ever seen the perfect place in the perfect moment: the light, the composition, the components all perfect… and something changes before you snap the photo?  Like, the stag just up and walks away before you can get your lens out?  It’s a good time to be a painter as well as a photographer.  A painter can put the deer right back in there.IMG_0392.jpg

This is the Labrador Forest, a secret, beautiful place in all seasons.  Well, kinda soggy in spring, but still lovely.  Wildlife is a bit rare though, so when a deer did move across the lane way of light, it was a photographer’s dream.  Short lived.  Then it became a watercolourist’s challenge.
