Spring is a little slow to arrive in the Peace Country, except for the pussy willows, which have emerged several times over our unpredictable winter. Hopefully showing up a little early won’t matter to the growth of the trees. Carolyn painted these by masking the buds with her fingers dipped in Kwik Sew, a liquid latex. The background was poured and sprayed with water to make those fuzzy white spots. Some branches were brushed in while it was wet too. Then just the unmasking and the little details and there is a riot of spring softness.
