Fall Forests

This is British Columbia.  The Peace Country forests are so different across the border, with more spruce and pine and the fantastic variety of undergrowth that accompanies them.

Poplars trees are purple in the twilight, especially when surrounded by soft reds.

Here is the yellow, signalling the end of summer.

The evergreens are green always, and so are the soft grasses of the forest floor.

Some of the most interesting growth in the forest is the meek and miniature.
