Shh! This is a 1st Anniversary surprise to Joshua from Carolyn!
When we went to Scotland last year for our honeymoon, we little knew that the statue of the Duke of Wellington in Glasgow was to become one of our favourite memories. We were impressed by the compromise of art, history, politics, pride and humour all bizarrely encompassed by this statue outside the Gallery of Modern Art. Yes, Joshua bought the t-shirt, but I thought this favourite memory should be immortalized with a personal artistic effort of my own. So, here is the photo from one of the days we were there, two cones in place. Over the next eight posts, I’ll show you how the painting progressed. But shh! Don’t tell Joshua!
