Judy spent the long weekend camping at Cotillion, Alberta. This is a community maintained, rustic campsite and ATV’s are allowed. The painting was done en plein air to the tune of many ATV’s and several dirt bikes. Various streams running into the Peace River provided an abundance of good, goopy mud that made the motorized vehicle riders very happy.
Judy visited the jewel of the Pine Pass, a small lake surrounded by green mountains and rain forest like foliage. Here is her painting from this most recent trip. These waters and every tree along side have been well known to us for about 26 years.
When Judy goes camping, she doesn’t forget she’s an artist, she takes along her travel gear. Also, she remembered to get a photo of her set up to post. She came home with two paintings and lots of pictures.
An afternoon spent painting in our lakeside campsite was very relaxing.
The smoke created fantastic sunsets.
