Our party of seven enjoyed a wonderful day of riding in the Peace valley, deftly made to believe we were genuine horse people by the truly skilled people at the Peace Valley Guest Ranch. There is no more lovely way to see the Peace Country than from atop a horse, slowly winding up and down the hills, feeling the wind and smelling crushed sage and leather.
Our timing was perfect this year. Already the leaves are turning despite the enormous amount of rain we’ve had throughout the summer. Last weekend the river rose 16 feet and swept piles of debris and mud downstream. Our day was cool and overcast, making the rare sweeps of sunlight all the more impressive.
Charlie. Horses are reliably photogenic.
Freedom for the horses in the quiet hills under a spectacular sunset sky.
