Once again the Peace Watercolour Society visited a site with some great sandstone caves. What a distraction! The caves were a short hike up a steep cliff and from then on a kaleidoscope of light, shadow, pock marks and, unfortunately, graffiti. In some cases there was an artistic element to the painting, but in general… well, way to go all those who can spell their names. There was no putting off the beauty of the light and shadows, the natural sculptures and the overhanging brush. What an enchanting place.
