Arctic Snow Bells

Arctic Snow Bells… at least that’s what I thought these early white flowers were called, but the great gallery of the internet can’t seem to match the name with the image.  Does anyone out there know what they are called?  They are common in gardens in the Peace Country (Alberta, Canada), often weathering the snow as they push through to the sun.
