Sparrow

Here is one of the many sparrows that come by every day for snacks and to groom in the mock oranges by our windows. They stretch their necks to peer at us through the glass.  On cold days they bundle up in their own feathers and close their eyes to the snow and wind. On warm days, like today, they chatter and chirp from the tree tops, sharing news and their plans for the summer.
