Lake Louise in Alberta is spectacular in any season. The fall day that Judy saw it was a sulky one, prone to low cloud and imposing greys. A majestic beauty nonetheless.
Fall colours contrast with the duller background scenery.
There is no denying that glacier blue water though!
The water itself is calm. There were not so many of the famous red canoes in October. More people had red umbrellas.
The far end of Lake Louise, where not as many people gather. It’s a hidden valley of rainbow vegetation and many peaks.
The beach and the view back toward the Chateau are worth the walk.
