An Indeterminate Season

This year we just can’t decide what season we’re supposed to be in.  One day is warm enough to be a cool summer day, another brings snow.  It smells of wet leaves, like fall, and sounds of birds with spring songs.  At least the geese have arrived, seeming to indicate that we will, after all, see some sort of order.

These are photos of the patterns on the ground formed of ice, snow, leaves, wind and sun.  Nature is being truly creative these days.
