Cat on a Rainy Day

DSCF5410I was messing around with my pal Rorschach.  Luckily, all I found was a cat 😉  I think this is a cat looking out the window on a rainy day.  What do you see?

I dripped random blobs of cerulean, ultramarine and cobalt blues into wet paper.  When it dried, there was the cat!  Well, the suggestion of a cat anyway.

I am glad I am not the only one that sees animals in everything….

This look more like a cat floating majestically (as cats do) over its dreams of the carnival.
There is the profile face of the thin lady in a hat center left side and the smiling pretty girl with the nice hair just under the cat.
The first lion is harder to see behind the X fence but he is located midway between the thin lady and the cat.
The second lion with the dark nose is directly below the thin lady.
The clown with the down pointed nose and long face is staring at the girl.
Behind him a little boy jumps for joy.

Ok, I’m going to have to look a little longer! I see the boy in the corner, bottom right…

      • I can see the thin lady, she’s remarkable: her dress is ocean green-blue, and the hat (Helena Bonham-Carter would wear such) is violet (I am sorry I don’t know the professional names of the colors).
The cat on a rainy day is mesmerizing!

I like her shoes! Although they look a little treacherous. I’m finding so much more in this painting since you’ve pointed it out! Thanks for commenting 🙂

Yes, that is a good description of the lady.
There is also the trick rider on the rodeo horse, the tiger walking away in the upper left corner and the locomotive for the kids’ ride in the upper right.

Why is the zebra (bottom left) so sad? Because he’s blue.

      • Brilliant! 😀
There is yet another lady in a weird, small hairpiece: she’s just above the zebra, a little to the left.
This is so fun that I might try channeling Rorschach myself, though I have little talent to back it up. But, again, this is such fun I might not care!

I see her! I almost made this a painting of dancers before opting for the cat. I think next time I’ll look a little longer before deciding what to do. I will do it again, because you’re right, this is fun! The skill is all in the seeing: there is nothing to the painting!
