Sunrise was gorgeous Wednesday morning. If I hadn’t made plans to go snowshoeing at 10:30, I would have been out to see this:
But, when I did go snowshoeing with a friend, we lucked out! First we saw four deer bouncing away across the field. Then we turned around and saw a moose having a nap to our left. Then five more deer, including a stag, streamed out of the bush right in front of the moose. A little later, four more deer wandered out of their beds and headed across the field. The moose and calf came out to see us, then took off across the fields. We saw them a couple of kilometres away a little later. I always have the best luck when I haven’t got my camera with me!
