Our second trip down the Peace River was even more beautiful than the last. The leaves were out in full splendor, the water reflected every tone and hue. We enjoyed the peace and beauty for about five hours, sometimes drifting, sometimes paddling, always drinking in the autumn glory.
Purples, yellows, reds and greens. Even on the drier side of the river the colours were fantastic.
White birch trunks captured the surrounding colours.
A gathering of trees.
Each small creek was crammed with trees.
The light on the island changed rapidly as the clouds rolled by.
Distant purples highlight the closer, warmer colours.
Each thought the other rather a strange duck.
The grande finale.
It started to rain just after we loaded the kayaks 🙂
