Here in the Peace Country the sky is big. You can see it all at the same time, overhead and far away. You can see the weather report mapped out in all directions and you learn to read the sky as well as watch it. Here, people notice the sky. It is important and beautiful and just plain big.
Here is one sunset, in only two directions. You just have to imagine the rest of the sky because it just doesn’t fit in the picture.
Sundown, about 10:40 p.m. For about an hour before this the sky was casting a strange orange-grey glow over the land. It really brought out the young canola blossoms.
