Here is another look at Judy’s painting Morning Moment. You may have seen it before, but this time the photograph does the image more justice. This was one of Judy’s first experiments with her new Mijello watercolour set. Mijello promises intense, brilliant colours and this painting certainly stood out at the show. Several people could tell it was painted with a different brand of paints from all the others.
Judy uses Mijello, Daler Rowney, and Windsor Newton paints mostly, with some Graham, Da Vinci and other brands. Each has its own merits and it takes plenty of practice to know your watercolour paints and how they’ll react to each other and to the paper.
